അന്നംകുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം

Annamkulangara Bhgavathi temple is swayambhoo  Durga temple worshipped by members of our family for their best results in practicing the Sastra. The temple has got a known history of 200 years.Stories tells us that a girl was born in our family and started to show tantrums in the beginning years of her adolescence.

The worried parents scolded her for her mischievous behavior. One day she disappeared from the house to their wonder.Soon after her disappearance, an anonymous voice was heard “I will re-appear near the pond”. When they realized her divine presence as Lord Bhagavathi , they decided to build a temple in the exact place near the pond, where her presence was found later. The temple is devoted to Lord Bhagavathi .The open to sky abode of the Lord Bhagavathi was designed to overlook our ancestral home.In a later stage, most of the other important deities were also installed.The temple is still managed and run by us with the aid of a local committee.
