Annamkulangara Devi temple is swayambhoo Durga temple worshipped by members of our family for
their best results while practicing the Sastra. The temple has got a known history of 200 years. Stories
tells us that a young girl was born in our family and started to show extraordinary powers in the
beginning years of her adolescence. The worried parents scolded her and one day she disappeared from
the house to their wonder. Her parents could hear an anonymous voice saying that “I will reappear near
the pond” . After realized her divine presence near the pond, a temple was built in the exact place in her
memory. The abode of the Deity Bhgavathi ,facing our ancestral home is open to sky . In a later stage
most of the other deities were also installed.
